NAS-IT Awards 2024 celebrates Nepal’s IT innovations and global aspirations

KATHMANDU: The prestigious NAS-IT Awards 2024 concluded successfully at the Soaltee Hotel, bringing together the best and brightest minds in Nepal’s IT industry. The event showcased the remarkable advancements and innovative spirit propelling Nepal’s digital transformation, positioning the nation on the global IT stage.

A captivating introductory video detailed the journey of NAS-IT, highlighting the organization’s ongoing efforts to foster growth in Nepal’s burgeoning IT sector.

In his opening remarks, NAS-IT President Mr. Santosh Koirala emphasized the importance of the NAS-IT Awards in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Nepal’s IT professionals. He applauded the industry’s progress and commitment to innovation. Following this, founding president Mr. Richan Shrestha shared insights into the organization’s evolution and its vision behind the “NAS-IT Awards: Road to Brunei,” underscoring NAS-IT’s role in taking Nepal’s IT industry to new heights.

The event’s significance was further elevated by the keynote address from the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT), Mr. Prithivi Subba Gurung. Minister Gurung reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the growth of Nepal’s IT sector and praised the NAS-IT Awards for fostering a culture of innovation and promoting digital transformation.

One of the key highlights of the evening was the panel discussion titled “Going Global: Enabling Nepali IT Companies to Succeed Globally.” Moderated by Bibhusan Bista, the session featured esteemed experts including Mr. Anil Kumar Dutta, Ms. Agma Malakar, Mr. Sanjaya Shrestha, and Mr. Richan Shrestha.

The panelists shared their experiences in navigating international markets, overcoming challenges, and achieving success in the global IT arena, offering valuable insights to aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses aiming for international expansion.
