KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, currently on a two-day official visit to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.
The meeting took place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. According to the personal secretariat of Prime Minister Oli, the discussions were cordial, reflecting the long-standing ties between the two neighboring countries.
During the meeting, Misri was accompanied by members of the Indian delegation currently visiting Nepal, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The visit marks an important engagement between the two nations as they continue to explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors.
Secretary Misri arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday morning and is scheduled to participate in several meetings with high-ranking officials during his visit. The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, with an emphasis on trade, infrastructure development, and regional stability.
This visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening the diplomatic and economic ties between Nepal and India, with both countries keen on expanding their collaboration on multiple fronts.
