KATHMANDU: In a significant move aimed at enhancing travel convenience for the upcoming festive season, the advance booking for public transport during Dashain has officially begun today.
Following a collaborative discussion held last Friday involving Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala, the Transport Management Department, and representatives from the transport industry, the decision to initiate advance ticket booking was confirmed.
Officials have ensured that all necessary arrangements have been meticulously put in place to facilitate smooth bookings. As the festive period of Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath approaches, this initiative is designed to accommodate the large number of travelers who traditionally leave Kathmandu during these celebrations.
Minister Jwala has also taken proactive measures by directing immediate repairs to roads that were damaged due to recent rains. This swift action is expected to improve overall transportation efficiency, ensuring a hassle-free experience for commuters during the festive rush.
