15 construction firms are placed on a government blacklist

KATHMANDU: 15 different construction firms with subpar work have been blacklisted.

The names of 15 construction companies that were blacklisted have been made public by the Public Procurement Monitoring Office, which is part of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The SAS Construction Private Limited, Biratnagar-based company led by Shailendra Kumar Kurumbang has been placed on a three-year blacklist. The Panchthar Hilihang Rural Municipality had suggested keeping this business on the blacklist.

Similar to this, Deepak Sapkota-led Shankara Mali Construction Services Pvt Ltd, Gokarna Prasad Pandit-led Nagarjuna Construction Pvt Ltd, Raju Prasad Shrestha-led YP Construction Pvt Ltd, and Ravin Kumar Joshi-led Rafina Construction Pvt Ltd have all been placed on a one year, three month blacklist.

Other businesses have been prohibited for a year.

These businesses are not permitted to take part in any public procurement procedures while they are on the blacklist.
