KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has appointed Superintendent of Municipal Police Raju Pandey to the post of chief of Kathmandu Municipal Police.
SP Pandey replaces SP Dhanapati Sapkota, a controversial man, who served as the chief of the Kathmandu Municipal Police Chief for a long time.
According to KMC, the appointment of SP Pandey as the Kathmandu Municipal Police chief is as per a regular process of the KMC. SP Pandey has now replaced him under a regular process.
SP Sapkota will now oversee the Administration Department of Kathmandu municipal police.
