KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka today informed the parliamentary committee that the State Partnership Program (SPP) with the US Army will not be taken forward.
Addressing the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, Minister Khadka informed that military agreement related to SPP will not be continued as it is against interest of Nepali and its citizens.
“As Prime Minister himself has said that the SSP will not be implemented, I do not see any logic in making it an issue,” said Khadka.
The House Committee had summoned Foreign Minister Khadka and NA Chief Prabhu Ram Sharma to question about SPP.
On the occasion, committee member Madhav Kumar Nepal also said that SSP is against the interest of Nepal and the government should not take it forward.
