KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has asked the Covid-19 affected businesses/industries to apply for refinance loans facility.
Issuing a notice on Sunday, the central bank has asked COvid-19 hit businesses to apply for the refinance loans before December 5. Earlier, NRB had decided to provide pandemic-affected businesses to provide refinance loans of up to Rs 50 million at an subsidized interest rate of up to five percent.
NRB has categorized schools, colleges and universities, child care centers, land transport, beauty parlors, cosmetic surgery and related businesses, consultancies and health centers and fitness centers, publications, media, drugs producers, construction companies, hospitals and nursing homes, under construction hydropower and renewable energy and manufacturing and distribution of home appliances, among others as businesses affected by the pandemic and eligible for the refinancing loan.
