KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur) of Kathmandu valley are scheduled to meet today at 5pm to decide the modality of prohibitory order for coming days.
The prohibitory orders enforced in Valley to contain the spread of Covid-19 expires on Monday. It has been learnt that CDOs are likely to propose another extension of the prohibitory period but with some relaxation in existing provisions. Similarly, CDOs are likely to decide to allow operation of public transportation in the Valley with some set modality.
As the Covid-19 infection rate in Valley is gradually declining, the government is mulling to ease down prohibitory order here.
