KATHMANDU: Amid listed companies refusing to present their financial reports on time, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has warned to take action against such firms and asked them to submit their financial report as soon as possible.
As per, Niraj Giri, spokesperson for SEBOB, it has recently asked Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) to provide details of the listed companies that have failed to submit their financial reports even by the end of fiscal year 2019-20. “In case they fail to submit teports on time, SEBPON will even black list them and bar them from carrying out their share transactions in the secondary market,” said Giri.
Of late, a number of listed companies were found carrying out their shares transactions without submitting their periodic financial reports to Nepse on time.
