11 govt hospitals to start COVID-19 vaccination drive from today

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health said that 11 government hospitals in Kathmandu will open the COVID-19 vaccination drive at the same time from today.

Similarly, other government hospitals outside the Kathmandu will also inaugurate the vaccination today itself. The government plans to vaccinate frontline health workers and security personnel in the first phase.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to virtually inaugurate the campaign at the national level from his official residence in Baluwatar.

As per the Ministry, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Bir Hospital, Ayurved Research and Training Centre, Kirtipur, Patan Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Bhaktapur Hospital, Shahid Dharma Bhakta Organ Transplant Centre, Kathmandu Medical College, Jorpati, Armed Police Force Hospital and Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre will give COVID-19 vaccination service from today.
