KATHMANDU: Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) and Jyoti Life Insurance Company Limited (JLI) have signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) of the merger.
The board meetings of SLICL and JLI have passed the merger proposal between the two companies. Chairman of SLICL, Keshav Prasad Bhattarai and Chairman of JLI Nand Kishor Sharma signed a preliminary merger agreement between two companies on Sunday.
In line with the directive issued by the Insurance Board instructing the insurance companies to increase their paid-up capital, insurance companies have initiated merger and acquisition process.
