KATHMANDU: The government has so far spent a total of Rs 13.36 billion to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 in the country.
Minister for Finance, Communications and Information Technology,YubarajKhatiwada, today informed that the given amount had been spent to combat the pandemic till mid-August.
As per him, Rs 5.85 billion had been spent from the federal consolidated fund while provincial governments spentRs 1.49 billion to combat the pandemic. Similarly, local governments spent Rs 6.02 billion for COVID-19 response till mid-August, according to Khatiwada.
