NOC said that it decided to increase the fuel prices based on the working procedure on automated price system that allows the state-owned oil monopoly to revise the price fortnightly by 2 percent automatically based on the changes in the price it pays to its supplier Indian Oil Corporation.
With the revision of the fuel prices that will come into effect from midnight today, petrol will now cost Rs 125 per liter, diesel and kerosene Rs 108 per liter and ATF Rs 80 per liter in Kathmandu Valley.
The NOC, however, kept the price of cooking gas (LPG) at Rs 1,400 per cylinder.
