Budget met expectations of private sector: Shekhar Golchha

KATHMANDU: The private sector has welcomed the budget for 2021-22 and said that the it has attempted to address majority of concerns of the private sector.

Talking to media after the budget, Golchha said that the budget is positive and that the government should focus on its effective implementation. “Different provisions regarding business continuation loan, wheeling charges for industries, subsidies announced to pandemic-affected sectors, encouragement to startups, among others are positive,” said Golchha.

Similarly, Bishnu Agrawal, senior vice president of Confideration of Nepalese Industries (CNI) said that the budget has addressed vaccination issues and other health issues to fight the pandemic. “The government has prioritized startups and promote Nepali products and has announced Make in Nepal campaign which is welcoming,” said Agrawal adding, “The budget has addressed much of our concerns. Now efforts should be placed to implement the budget properly,” said Agrawal.
