Yeti to fly to Simara after gap of 12 years

KATHMANDU: Yeti Airlines has received permission to operate regular flights in the Kathmandu-Simara route. After a gap of 12 years, Yeti Airlines will be resuming its flight service to Simara from October 7.

As per the airlines, two daily flights will be conducted on this route.

“Twelve years back we had to halt our flights to Simaradue to several reasons. However, we are now resuming the service with two flights a day. Depending on the public demand we will think of adding more flights in the future,” said Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson of the airline company.

In the initial phase, Yeti Airlines has set Rs 2,800 per person as a promotional airfare. Passengers can get flight tickets directly from the sales offices of the airlines or by using the official mobile application. The tickets can be booked from authorized travel agencies too.

Currently, Yeti Airlines has been operating flights to Pokhara, Biratnagar, Nepalgunj, Bharatpur, Janakpur, Bhadrapur, Bhairahawa, and Tumlingtar. Similarly, via Tara Air, the company has been providing air services in destinations like Lukla, Phaplu, Jomsom, Humla, Jumla, Rara, Dolpa, and Bajura.

Yeti Airlines has been providing its services through a fleet of 14 aircraft.
