KATHMANDU: The government has appointed former finance minister Yubaraj Khatiwada as the ambassador of Nepal to the United States of America.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to appoint Khatiwada, who is also the special economic advisor to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, as the ambassador to America.
Similarly, the Cabinet has also decided to appoint former chief secretary Lok Darsan Regmi as the ambassador to the United Kingdom (UK). Regmi tendered his resignation from the post of chief secretary today itself.
Likewise, the government has also decided to appoint foreign secretary Shankar Das Bairagi as the Chief Secretary.
