KATHMANDU: In response to the mistreatment of air hostesses, the Nepalese government’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN) has issued cabin safety guidelines for all airlines operating there.

The civil aviation regulatory body issued the directive because cockpit safety is equally important, according to information officer Gyanendra Bhul.

He mentioned that people who are worried have been told not to inquire about unrelated matters with the air hostesses in the cockpit or during the flight. All air hostesses working on flight operations will be given an equal chance, they have been told.

Similar to this, Bhul added that pilots shouldn’t take off until they’ve made sure all of the aircraft’s doors are shut. “The instructions have been given to taxi the aircraft only after verifying that the seat belt is fastened and the flight safety demonstration is complete,” he said.
