After identifying technical difficulties, Buddha Air’s aircraft aborts takeoff and returns to the runway

KATHMANDU: Buddha Air’s ATR aircraft, which was all set for a take-off at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) aborted its flight after a problem was detected with its ‘indicator’.

According to sources at Tribhuvan International Airport, the plane scheduled to take off at 3:30 pm for Bhairahawa on Monday was on the runway for some time.

However, the aircraft aborted its take-off after suddenly detecting a problem with its indicator. It is known as “Abandon Take Off” in technical speak.

The plane will be checked by a technical team of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Only then Buddha Air will get permission to fly.
