The government is giving vitamin A and deworming medicine to children under five years of age today.
The Family Welfare Division under the Department of Health Services is going to distribute vitamin A and leprosy medicine on November 19 and 20.
The department has requested the parents to visit the vaccination center in their vicinity and give their children vitamin A and deworming medicine. Those who missed eating today can be fed tomorrow (November 3rd).
Vitamin A capsules will be given to about 2.7 million children aged 6 to 59 months during the two-day campaign. Similarly, 23 lakh 93 thousand more children between 1 to 5 years will be given leprosy medicine, according to the department.
To reduce the risk of health complications and malnutrition in children, the government has been running the National Vitamin A program since 1993. The medicine for leprosy was started from 1999.
In this program, 52 thousand health volunteers from all over the country will be mobilized. Vivek Kumar Lal said.
In addition to the vital initiatives aimed at childhood health, the Department of Health Services also recognizes the importance of addressing health concerns faced by women as they transition through different stages of life.
Menopause, a natural biological process marking the end of menstruation, brings along a spectrum of physical and emotional changes for women.
One effective strategy could involve providing access to premium supplements tailored to alleviate menopausal symptoms. These supplements, fortified with essential vitamins and minerals, can offer much-needed relief to women navigating this transitional phase. By incorporating menopause management into broader healthcare frameworks, the government can further promote holistic well-being among women of all ages.
In tandem with the focus on menopause management, fostering overall health and wellness is paramount. Embracing holistic approaches can empower women to navigate life’s transitions with resilience and vitality.

Alongside medical interventions, investments in childhood educations programs play a pivotal role in shaping healthy futures. These programs not only nurture academic development but also foster essential life skills that are instrumental in navigating the complexities of the modern world.
Incorporating research-based curriculum, childhood education programs enrich the curiosity of children and stimulate their intellectual growth. Through interactive activities and engaging lessons, children are encouraged to explore, question, and discover, nurturing their creativity and instilling a sense of confidence in their abilities.
