Global IME Bank customers get 25pc off healthcare services in Lumbini Medical College

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has partnered with Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital to offer up to 25% discounts on healthcare services for the bank’s customers. The agreement, signed on Thursday, March 20, 2025, by Shanta Shivakoti, Lumbini Province Chief of the bank, and Gopal Bahadur Pokharel, hospital chairman, aims to make quality healthcare more affordable.
The discount applies to customers using Global IME Bank’s debit or credit cards or its Global Smart Plus mobile app. Eligible services include general beds, lab tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, outpatient visits, and surgical procedures. Hospital Chairman Pokharel noted that the collaboration would expand healthcare access while aligning with the institution’s mission. “This partnership ensures affordable, high-quality care for bank customers and supports our service growth,” he said.
Shanta Shivakoti highlighted the deal’s potential to benefit customers and increase adoption of the bank’s digital payment tools. “This initiative will enhance customer convenience and encourage the use of our banking services,” she said. The bank, a leader in Nepal’s private sector with branches in all 77 districts and over 5 million customers, frequently rolls out such discount programs to add value for its clients.
