Global IME Bank to organize AI/ML hackathon

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited is set to organize the “Global IME AI/ML Hackathon” for the first time, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
The hackathon aims to encourage students, startups, developers, data scientists, and researchers interested in technology to develop innovative banking services based on cutting-edge advancements. Additionally, it seeks to explore potential digital banking solutions and address related challenges.
Competition Structure and Rewards
Participants in the hackathon will be required to present their ideas on specific themes set by the bank. The best teams will receive cash prizes and opportunities to collaborate with Global IME Bank.

Interested participants must register through the bank’s website. The competition will take place in two phases:
Phase 1: Online paper submission (deadline: April 4, 2025)
Phase 2: On-site hackathon (May 1, 2025)
