Former President Bhandari honours CEO of Genese Solution for contributions to IT development

KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has honoured Anjani Phuyal, the CEO of Genese Solution, a UK-based IT consulting company, for his contributions to information technology and youth empowerment in Nepal. The felicitation took place during a ceremony organized by Arunoday Secondary School in Arun Rural Municipality-4, Bhojpur district, where individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields were recognized.

Phuyal was awarded the title of ‘Youth Motivator’ for his efforts in promoting IT development in Nepal and initiating skill development programs aimed at generating employment opportunities for the youth of Bhojpur district.

Recently, Genese Solution launched an IT Innovation Center in Bhojpur in collaboration with the Sitaram Padma Kumari Foundation. These centers, located in Chiangre of Pauwadungma Rural Municipality and Pyauli of Arun Rural Municipality, aim to equip local youth with IT-related skills.

During the event, former President Bhandari also honoured Bhim Prasad Dhakal, former AIG of Nepal Police and founder of the Sitaram Padmakumari Foundation, for his contributions to social development.

“At a time when thousands of youths are migrating abroad every day in search of jobs, our objective is to equip them with IT skills so they can earn a good income while staying in their own villages. We sincerely appreciate the support of local municipalities and the Sitaram Padmakumari Foundation in this initiative,” said Phuyal. He expressed gratitude to former President Bhandari and the Arunoday Secondary School family for the recognition.

According to Genese Solution, the program will initially train 20 youths from each municipality, with 50% of the best-performing trainees receiving internships. Those who excel during the internship phase will be offered employment. The primary goal of these centers is to create employment opportunities for young people within their own communities.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Genese Solution operates in 10 countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Finland, Australia, Nigeria, Spain, Ireland, and the USA.
