KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has raided a call center in Satdobato, arresting 53 individuals, including two Indian nationals, on charges of operating online gambling activities.
According to CIB spokesperson Superintendent of Police (SP) Hobindra Bogati, the suspects were arrested for allegedly running an “online casino.” He stated that investigations are ongoing, and further inquiries will be conducted after obtaining court permission today.
Authorities seized 85 laptop computers and 82 mobile phones during the operation. SP Bogati revealed that the suspects were involved in operating online gambling and other illegal activities.
