KATHMANDU: Nepal Private Equity Association (NPEA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen bilateral investment and foster economic growth in Nepal. The signing ceremony, held in Kathmandu, was attended by key figures from Nepal’s private equity, venture capital, and business sectors.
The MOU sets the stage for a strategic partnership between the two organizations, focused on creating a more attractive investment climate in Nepal while enhancing economic ties between Nepal and the United States. The agreement outlines key areas of collaboration, including resource sharing, event participation, and market analysis.
“We are excited to embark on this partnership with AmCham, which will play a pivotal role in advancing the private equity and venture capital sectors in Nepal,” said Mr. Siddhant Raj Pandey, Chairperson of NPEA. “Through this cooperation, we aim to foster knowledge exchange, identify new investment opportunities, and build a robust ecosystem for business growth.”
Mr. Nirmal Kajee Shrestha, Chairperson of AmCham, highlighted the importance of this collaboration for promoting bilateral trade and investment between Nepal and the United States. “This partnership will enable both organizations to offer valuable insights and resources, helping businesses on both sides tap into emerging opportunities.”
Under the MOU, NPEA and AmCham will exchange market research and data to identify new trade and investment opportunities. They will also support each other’s initiatives, providing access to networking events and forums where key stakeholders and decision-makers can connect.
