Niranjan Kunwar appointed as CTO and CISO of Genese Solution

LONDON: Genese Solution, a UK-based IT consulting company, has appointed Niranjan Kunwar as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Kunwar, a seasoned global technology and cybersecurity executive with over 25 years of experience across various industries including financial services, technology, telecom, and manufacturing, is set to bring his extensive expertise to the company.

Kunwar’s career includes high-profile roles, such as Senior Director of Information Security at Vontier from 2021 to 2024, where he led security strategy and architecture. Before that, he served as the Global Head of Application and Infrastructure Assurance at Invesco between 2016 and 2021. His professional journey spans leading roles at McAfee, Polycom, Mimecast, Reliance Globalcom, Shipserv, Covestor, Internet Solutions Ltd, and Himalayan Computers.

Kunwar’s academic background includes an Executive MBA from The Quantic School of Business and Technology, an MSc IT from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and various certifications such as CISSP, SABSA Chartered Security Architect, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Born in Pokhara, Nepal, Kunwar completed his primary education in Nepal before moving to Russia for higher studies. He later relocated to Hong Kong for professional opportunities and has been based in London for the past 17 years with his family.
