Continuous rainfall floods Ramechhap’s Manthali airport

KATHMANDU: Heavy rainfall over the past two days has caused significant flooding in Ramechhap, with Manthali Airport being submerged by the overflowing Tamakoshi River. According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap, the airport has been underwater since early today as the river’s water level surged due to the continuous downpour.

Authorities have reported that the rain, which has been falling steadily for two days, has led to flooding in several low-lying areas, further complicating transportation and emergency response efforts. No flights have been able to operate from the airport, with local officials closely monitoring the situation.

As more details emerge, there are growing concerns about the impact of the flood on nearby communities and infrastructure. Local residents are urged to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines. Further updates are expected soon.
