KATHMANDU: The National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission (NNRFC) has officially submitted its annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS to President Ram Chandra Paudel. The report was presented by the commission’s chairman, Balanand Paudel, during a formal program held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas.
During the event, President Paudel emphasized the crucial role of the commission in the successful implementation of fiscal federalism in Nepal. He noted the significance of the commission’s responsibilities, including revenue sharing, financial equalization grants, managing internal debt limits, and addressing the expenditure responsibilities across the three levels of government—federal, provincial, and local.
President Paudel expressed confidence that the commission would continue to function in a more organized, robust, and effective manner, delivering on its mandate. He also highlighted the need for the commission to recommend measures for improving revenue collection under the fiscal federalism framework, contributing to Nepal’s financial stability and growth.
