Government Forms Committee to Investigate Air Dynasty Helicopter Crash in Nuwakot

KATHMANDU: In response to the tragic crash of an Air Dynasty helicopter in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7, Nuwakot, the government has formed a three-member committee to conduct a thorough investigation. The accident, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, resulted in the deaths of all five individuals on board, including one Nepali and four Chinese citizens.

Government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung announced the decision following an emergency cabinet meeting held on Wednesday afternoon. The committee will be led by Nepal Army’s Senior Pilot Subash Thapa and has been tasked with investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The committee is expected to submit its findings within 30 days.

The Air Dynasty helicopter, with the registration number 9N-AJD, was on a flight from Kathmandu to Syafrubesi in Rasuwa when it met with the fatal accident. The loss has been deeply felt across the nation, prompting the government to take swift action in seeking answers and preventing future occurrences.
