Global IME Bank conducts financial literacy program through 233 branches

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has simultaneously conducted financial literacy programs through its 233 branch offices. The program was organized as part of the bank’s institutional social responsibility, targeting various groups identified as being outside the financial access network.

More than 35,000 participants, including farmers, micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, laborers, potential foreign employment seekers, students, women, remittance recipients, and local youths, took part in the programs organized across all seven provinces.

The participation numbers for the targeted groups were 3,500 in Koshi Province, 2,200 in Madhesh, 15,000 in Bagmati, 5,500 in Gandaki, 6,000 in Lumbini, 500 in Karnali, and over 2,500 in Sudurpaschim.

Global IME Bank has been conducting financial literacy and digital banking promotion programs through its branches in all 77 districts of the country during the current fiscal year 2080/81.

The programs provided information on savings, loans, remittances, digital banking, insurance, investments, additional banking services, financial fraud, and financial discipline.
