Highlighting the significance of the expo, IPPAN President emphasized its role as a comprehensive marketplace for all facets of the energy sector, facilitating collaborations and showcasing the latest advancements in power project development. With the Embassy of India serving as the country partner, the expo underscores Nepal’s commitment to expanding its energy footprint regionally and globally.
Notably, Nepal has inked a landmark agreement to export 10,000 megawatts of electricity to India over the next decade, with plans underway to ramp up production to 28,500 MW by 2035, targeting exports to Bangladesh as well. This ambitious roadmap underscores the nation’s potential as a key player in the regional energy landscape.
