KATHMANDU: Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal, has underscored the imperative to revamp the Prime Minister Employment Program for enhanced effectiveness. Speaking at the conclusion of a four-day training program organized for active staff at the Employment Service Centers, Minister Aryal stressed the necessity of restructuring the program to prioritize outcomes.
Highlighting the program’s underperformance, Minister Aryal stated, “The program’s intended objectives have not been adequately realized among the public. Its failure to reach the target audience necessitates a restructuring to ensure outcome-driven results.”
Moreover, Minister Aryal urged participants to apply the acquired knowledge in their service delivery. “Your conduct should emulate a positive experience for service recipients, facilitating easy access to services and energy,” he emphasized.
Labor Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay, stationed at the Labor Desk, urged participants, including employment coordinators and assistants, to fulfill their responsibilities with enthusiasm. “You are engaged in a noble task of serving the people. Seize this opportunity to its fullest,” he encouraged.
Panchamaya Yonjan, Employment Coordinator of Marin Village Municipality Sindhuli, expressed enthusiasm for the Ministry’s capacity-building training, noting its positive reception among participants. Similarly, Kumar Negi, Employment Coordinator of Thaha Municipality, Makwanpur, expressed satisfaction with the training’s motivational impact on work.
The Ministry conducted the capacity-building training for nine district employment coordinators and assistants, with a total participation of 142 individuals.
