KATHMANDU: In preparation for the forthcoming Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024, an Industry Outreach Meet convened in New Delhi on April 11, 2024. Hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in India in collaboration with the PHDCCI India-Nepal Center, the event aimed to bolster engagement from Indian industry leaders and spotlight investment prospects within Nepal.
During the session, Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, and Sushil Bhatta, CEO of Investment Board Nepal, delivered comprehensive presentations on Nepal’s investment landscape. Key sectors highlighted included hydropower, tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing. These presentations underscored Nepal’s dedication to fostering an investor-friendly ecosystem through recent policy reforms and streamlined business protocols.
The upcoming NIS 2024, slated for April 28-29 in Kathmandu, pledges to facilitate connections between investors and key stakeholders, explore a spectrum of projects, and showcase Nepal’s developmental endeavors. The Government of Nepal is actively seeking foreign investment to propel the nation’s economic advancement.
