KATHMANDU: ‘Siddhartha Vilasa’ in Bhairahawa, launched by Siddhartha Hospitality Group, boasting 26 years of hospitality expertise, has achieved five-star recognition. ‘Vilasa’ represents the luxury brand of the Siddharth Group.
The Department of Tourism (DoT) recently upgraded the hotel after on-site monitoring and inspection, classifying it as a five-star establishment and granting the necessary license.
The hotel, spreading across approximately five bighas, features 85 rooms, including one luxury executive suite, two suites, five junior suites, and 77 executive deluxe rooms.
Krishna Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of Siddhartha Hospitality Group, noted that the hotel houses five conference halls, five restaurant outlets, and a banquet hall capable of accommodating fifteen hundred guests – touted as Nepal’s largest banquet hall.
Neupane highlighted the hotel’s success in attracting Indian tourists through ‘destination weddings’ and other visitors, garnering popularity among tourists from various countries visiting Lumbini.
The hotel offers a range of wellness amenities such as a gym, jacuzzi, steam room, and spa. Neupane mentioned that the current staff count stands at 200 employees, with plans to employ nearly 500 more after launching casino operations, for which the infrastructure has been prepared.
Laxman Neupane, the company’s president, emphasized the hotel’s role in fostering both domestic and international tourism in the region.
Siddhartha Group’s ‘Vision 2030’ aims to operate at least 58 outlets across Nepal and globally by 2030, with plans to open new hotels in Dhangadhi (Kailali), Damauli (Tanahun), and a restaurant with a banquet in Yogikuti (Rupandehi) next year.
Similarly, the Siddhartha Riverside Resort on the Prithvi Highway is set for upgrades to a four-star status within the coming year as per the strategic plan.
