KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a warning, stating that it will initiate action against schools that mandate students to buy specific clothing in the name of various festivals.
The metropolis has alerted that legal steps will be taken if schools are discovered forcing students to procure attire distinct from their regular uniforms.
In a notice circulated to all schools on Friday, Education Officer Sitaram Koirala underscored that measures would be implemented if students are pressured into obtaining uniforms that differ from the standard school dress code.
He additionally mentioned that schools found violating this instruction will be subject to legal repercussions in accordance with the law.
