KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) has pledged a donation of Rs 1 million to support earthquake relief efforts.
In a press release issued on Sunday, CBFIN announced its commitment to provide financial aid to assist the earthquake victims in Jajarkot and Rukum West.
The funds will be channeled through the respective district administration offices and local authorities to help with immediate search and rescue efforts, provide essential medical treatment, and offer relief to the affected communities in these earthquake-affected areas.
CBFIN has been in contact with the chief district officers of the affected districts to gain insights into the current situation and the specific needs of the affected population.
In response to their feedback, the organization has also called upon the concerned provinces, districts, local bodies, as well as all banks and financial institutions to join in the humanitarian effort by collecting and delivering urgently required relief materials, including food, medicine, shelter, and baby clothing to the affected regions.
