KATHMANDU: The Securities Board of Nepal has officially issued stockbroker licenses to three companies. According to Muktinath Shrestha, the spokesperson for the Board, a recent meeting by the board of directors resulted in the granting of licenses to three stock brokers, albeit with restrictions on their operations.
The three companies that have been granted these limited-operation securities broker licenses are JBNL Securities Company, RBB Securities Company, and CBIL Securities Company.
Notably, the board had previously given its approval to 43 different companies that had submitted applications for securities broker licenses. Out of these, 32 companies have successfully met the requirements and received licenses from the board, as confirmed by Shrestha, who serves as the spokesperson for the board.
