KATHMANDU: The Butwal-Lamahi 400 KV transmission line’s construction has advanced thanks to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Before the construction, the NEA is working on preparations. The final stages of the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report preparations have reportedly been reached.
The report is currently being worked on by a business. If there are any negative effects during the project’s construction and operation, the authority has been asked to submit written suggestions or opinions within seven days.
This transmission line runs through the following municipalities: Sunwal Municipality of West Nawalparasi, Devdaha Municipality of Rupandehi, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City and SainaMaina Municipality, Baanganga, Buddhabhumi and Shivaraj Municipalities of Kapilvastu, Sitganga Municipality of Arghakhanchi and Garhwa, Rapti Rural Municipality, and Lamhi Municipality of Dang.
A 160 km long 400 KV double circuit transmission line is the proposed project. It begins at New Butwal Substation (Bhumhi) in the Nawalparasi Susta West District and travels via the Motipur Substation in Rupandehi and Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi, to reach Lamhi Substation in Dang.
