KATHMANDU: American Chamber of Commerce Nepal (AMCHAM) and USAID Trade and Competitiveness Nepal
have signed a cooperative agreement to facilitate business expansion between Nepal and the United States.
The agreement was signed by AMCHAM Chairman Ajit Shah and Head of USAID Trade and Competitiveness Nepal Agnes Luz.
Under the agreement, USAID Trade and Competitiveness will provide support to AMCHAM in policy development to enhance investment expansion.
This agreement will create a conducive environment for businesses in both countries to expand into each other markets.
AMCHAM Chairman Ajit Shah stated that the agreement will promote investment between Nepal and America.
The partnership also includes AMCHAM commitment to facilitating businesses interested ininvesting in Nepal. To accomplish this, AMCHAM will organize workshops and training sessions forbusinesses.
The agreement will be in effect from May 2023 to December 26, 2026. The American Chamber of Commerce Nepal (AMCHAM) is a joint organization of companies operating in Nepal with American investment.
