KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed public entities to only conduct construction and maintenance work after 8 pm.
The city authority ordered the building and upkeep of both public and private infrastructure on Monday in an effort to improve traffic on the city’s roads and to limit construction work to hours after 8 pm.
The city has asked that precautions be taken to prevent construction-related debris and dust from landing on the road while the building is constructed.
The city has also issued a warning that a fine in accordance with the law will be imposed if the action specified in the notification is not carried out.
