KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has decided to stop appointing any goodwill ambassadors for tourism. According to Sudan Kirati, minister of culture, tourism, and civil aviation, all such appointments have been removed from the decision-making process at the ministerial level.
By approving the Tourism Promotion Relating Procedures, 2079 BS, all of the current goodwill ambassadors have been terminated, according to Minister Kirati. However, the new procedure has made it possible for them to be reappointed after completing the procedures.
Before the procedures went into effect, ambassadors for goodwill in the tourism industry were appointed. The Ministry has also changed the term “goodwill ambassadors” to “tourism promoters.”.
Additionally, the Ministry has made the decision to write to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request support for efforts to launch flights from Nepalgunj Airport to various cities in India.
