KATHMANDU: As of right now, the government is putting together the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/81. A simultaneous request for open suggestions on budget-related issues has been made by the Ministry of Finance.
The ministry has asked the interested parties to submit their ideas by April 28.
Anyone can submit suggestions for the budget, including groups, organizations, academics, experts, political parties, businesspeople, philanthropists, professionals, staff members, journalists, and the general public.
The line ministries have at this time been asked to provide the finance ministry with their budgets and programs.
As a result, the ministries are putting together a new budget. A committee for developing the budget has been formed by the finance ministry.
Government fiscal transfer formulas are supplied by the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission.
The budget must be presented to parliament by the federal government on May 29 in accordance with Nepal’s constitution. The federal government is creating a budget for the upcoming year that stays within the 1688 trillion cap. This is less than the budget for the current fiscal year 2079–2080.
