Kathmandu, 4 December: Remittance company IME Limited has endorsed a proposal to issue Initial Public Offering (IPO). The 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company held in Kathmandu on Friday endorsed the proposal. Along with this, IME Limited has become Nepal’s first public remittance company.
While addressing the AGM, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of IME Group recalled that 23 years ago, the task of bringing foreign currency into Nepal from the private sector was very difficult and challenging, and IME was established despite adverse circumstances.
Hemraj Dhakal, Managing Director of IME Group, pointed out that the world has now entered into the digital era and said that the company was taken to the public to be more energetic, transparent and expand its professional horizons in the competitive market.
