KATHMANDU: The government has announced to reduce the price of petroleum products by cutting taxes levied on fuel.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu informed at a press conference on Saturday that the price of petroleum products has been reduced by cutting taxes.
Minister Badu informed that tax has been reduced by Rs 29 on diesel and Rs 20 on petrol. With the tax cut, diesel will now cost Rs 163 per liter and petrol Rs 179 per liter. Along with the announcement of the government, Nepal Oil Corporation is announcing the new price of petroleum products with effect from 12 noon on Saturday.
