KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has bounced back from the support zone with a surge in market participation. The NEPSE index closed at 2,420.96 after gaining a massive 95.46 from the last trading day’s closing. This is a gain of 4.11%. The index had gained 4.94 points last Thursday.
The index opened at 2,331.52 and did not trade anywhere lower than that. While it went as high as 2430.07, it ultimately closed at 2,420.96.
238 scrips traded hands via 43,450 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,639,504 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.531 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday’s turnover of Rs. 1.629 Arba.
