KATHMANDU: Kathmandu households are likely to get Melamchi water, the water supplied from Melamchi of Sindhupalchok, from this weekend yet again.
The Melamchi Water Supply Project is sending the water to its tunnel from Tuesday after rounds of repairing. This time, the government has created a diversion at Ambathan of Melamchi to let water flow through the tunnel.
The government in the annual budget plan for the current fiscal year had announced to restore the Melamchi Water Supply Project and bring back its water to the Kathmandu valley by April 2022.
