KATHMANDU: Country’s export has set a record in the first eight months of the current Fiscal Year 2078/79. According to the Department of Customs (DoC), Nepal has managed to export goods worth Rs 147.74 billion in the first eight months this fiscal year which is Nepal’s highest export figure in terms of figure.
Nepal had exported goods worth Rs 141.12 billion throughout the year last fiscal year. Last year, for the first time in history, exports reached over Rs 100 billion, breaking the record and this year, exports are setting an encouraging record.
According to the Customs Department, the export was Rs. 97.70 billion up to mid-February of the Fiscal Year 2077/78. Exports have increased by 44.43 percent this year.
