KATHMANDU: A total of 26 companies have been waiting for approval of the Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) to issue their primary shares worth Rs 7.26 billion in total.
According to Sebon, of the applicants, 20 are hydropower companies, three are microfinance companies, two are life-insurance companies and Dish Media Network. Among the hydropower companies, Molung Hydropower Company is issuing 3,531,000 units of its initial public offerings (IPOs) worth Rs 353.10 million for locals and general people.
Adarsha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Cyc Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha are issuing their primary shares worth Rs 72.15 million in total. Reliable Life Insurance and IME Life Insurance are floating their IPOs worth Rs 1.27 billion and Rs 600 million respectively. Similarly, Dish Media Network Limited is coming up with its IPOs amounting Rs 238.59 million.
