KATHMANDU: Amid increasing coronavirus cases, the Immigration Department has warned people against visiting foreign countries unless absolutely necessary.
Issuing a travel advisory on Wednesday, the department said, “Those who are planning to travel from Nepal to countries where there is a risk of infection from the new variant are requested not to travel except in extreme cases.”
The government has already banned direct entry of people into Nepal from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Inwatini, Mozambique, Malawi and Hong Kong from 16 December.
