KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,685.41 today after losing 73.05 points from yesterday’s closing. The index had lost 61.27 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,762.60 and made the intraday high at 2,769.10. However, it began to lose from there, going as low as 2,678.36. The index then ultimately closed at 2,685.41.
A total of 10,478,068 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs 5.120 billion in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs 6.5 billion.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs 15.49 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 492 per share. Its shares also traded the most.
