KATHMANDU: The Airline Operators Association of Nepal is preparing to open advance flight ticket booking from the third week of September.
Yograj Kandel, the spokesperson of the Association informed that a meeting will be held on Friday in this regard.
Spokesperson Kandel said that the advance flight ticket booking for the passengers leaving the valley for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals will be opened from the third week of September.
“When there are road obstructions/blocks (public transportation) in some places due to rains, the direct pressure falls on the airline services,” said Kendal, “Detailed decision would be made at Friday’s meeting. The meeting will decide on the need to add flights and when to open the booking.”
According to him, more than 150 regular flights are being operated daily from 48 flights of 13 companies. He said that more flights would have to be added during Dashain, Tihar and Chhath as the pressure of air passengers remain high.
